The overlapping of patterns &#8211; repetitive phrases presented by individual musicians &#8211; creates a chaotic sound texture as a whole, but ordered if broken down into its individual parts. The polyrhythms developed by the musicians are the main compositional tool through which to generate the effect of the apparently chaotic &#8220;bubbling&#8221; on which all the work is based.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"\">The three parts into which the composition is divided are each based on a different polyrhythm, in which the basic rhythmic unit becomes smaller as the piece progresses:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"\"><strong>Part I<\/strong>, polyrhythm between quarters and quarter triplets; <strong>Part 2<\/strong>, octave-based polymetry;<strong>Part 3<\/strong>, sixteenth-based polymetry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"\">Elements of jazz, rock and<\/span><span class=\"\">free improvisation<\/span><span class=\"\">are mixed with the aesthetics of minimalist music to generate atmospheres that are sometimes dense and tense, sometimes relaxed and rarefied.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"\">The goal of<\/span><span class=\"\"><strong>3Textures<\/strong><\/span> <span class=\"\">is the exploration of the order \/ chaos dualism.
